Aaron Stohs, DVM
Dr. Stohs was born and raised in Marysville, KS. He attended Kansas State University where he received his undergraduate degree in Animal Science and Industry in May 2000, then went on to graduate from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. He came to Drexel in 2006 as an associate and then purchased the practice in April of 2007. Dr. Stohs currently resides in Louisburg, KS with his wife, three children, and two French Bulldogs. Primary interest is small animal reproductive services. Dr. Stohs is a certified animal chiropractor.
Tanner Miller, DVM
Dr. Tanner Miller was born outside of Houston, TX, and lived in various states until attending Kansas State University where he received his undergraduate degree in Animal Science in December of 2008. Tanner then went on to receive a master’s degree in Biomedical Science in conjunction with his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2014. He especially enjoys small animal orthopedic and soft tissue surgery as well as difficult medical cases. Tanner and his wife, Krystal, live outside of Louisburg, KS, and have two children, Easton, and Abigail.
Elli Unruh, DVM
Dr. Elli Unruh grew up in Rantoul, KS where she attended Central Heights High School and was an active participant in 4-H/FFA. She attended Kansas State University where she was involved with the rodeo team. Dr. Elli graduated from the KSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Dr. Elli and her husband live outside of Paola on their family farm. She enjoys spending time with her family, her dogs, and checking their cattle.
Brianne Simonsen, DVM
Dr. Brianne Simonsen is a 2012 Iowa State University graduate. She grew up in Northwest Iowa on her parents’ ranch. She practiced in Wyoming for 5 years before coming to work with us. Dr. Simonsen loves working with a variety of animals, but working with horses is her favorite. She enjoys equine dentistry, reproductive medicine, and is a certified animal chiropractor.
Dr. John Sharpe, DVM
Karen Whitham, DVM
Dr. Whitham was born and raised in Columbus, KS where her father was also a veterinarian. She attended Kansas State University and received a BS in Animal Science and Industry in 1990 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. After graduation, she practiced in 6 different states as well as Germany while following her Air Force husband, Rusty, to his duty assignments. In 2011 Rusty retired from the military and they settled in Louisburg. They are proud parents to 2 children and have rescued four dogs and three cats.
Holly Harris, DVM
Dr. Holly Harris grew up in Ottawa, KS. She graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in 2013 and graduated from vet school at Oklahoma State in 2017. Dr. Harris lives in the country with her husband and two children. They enjoy working on the family farm, playing with their dogs, and spending time with family. Dr. Harris enjoys working with both small and large animals and is a certified animal chiropractor.
Juan Almaraz
Dr. Juan Almaraz is a first-generation Mexican American that was born in Southern California. He spent most of his summers working his family’s cattle and farms in Mexico. He attended Cal Poly Pomona for his undergrad in Animal Science and went to Ross University Veterinary School of Medicine. He finished his 4th-year veterinary clinic at Kansas State University. After finishing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2018, he did a specialty internship and residency in food animals at Kansas State University Veterinary Health Center that focused on surgery, medicine, and herd health production. Dr. Juan likes to spend his time relaxing and enjoying movies in his spare time.
Jared Heiman
Dr. Jared grew up on a diversified farm outside of Axtell, KS. He attended Kansas State University where he graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. He loves working with all animals, but his primary interest is large and small ruminants as well as swine. Dr. Jared currently lives outside of Paola with his dog, Ellie, and various farm animals. He enjoys spending time outdoors doing a variety of things like hiking, gardening, and playing various sports.
Krystal Miller
Krystal Miller was born and raised in Omaha, NE. She attended Kansas State University graduating in 2013 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, she worked up in Sioux City, IA for a year before getting married to Dr. Tanner Miller. Upon returning to Kansas, she worked in Belton, MO for 7 years before coming to Wildcat Vet Clinic. She enjoys spending time with her family and going back to Omaha to visit extended family.
Tracy Dolis
Dr. Tracy Dolis joined Martin City Animal Hospital as a general practitioner in August of 2021. She grew up in southwest Missouri and is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where she studied veterinary medicine before being awarded her doctorate in 2017. After veterinary school, she went on to work with both small and large animals in Butler, MO before landing with us in Martin City. When she isn’t busy with work, she enjoys most things outdoors, going to the lake, and spending time with friends and family.
Misty Yancey
Dr. Misty Yancey grew up in Topeka, KS. In 2008, she received her undergraduate degree in marine science from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL, and worked as a zoo keeper before attending vet school. In 2015, she graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University. While she loves working with all animals, her focus is primarily on exotics. She lives in Harrisonville, MO with her husband, Ben, daughters Luna and Aurora, two cats, two dogs, and saltwater fish. Dr. Yancey works at our Martin City Animal Hospital location.
