Aaron Stohs, DVM

Dr. Stohs was born and raised in Marysville, KS. He attended Kansas State University where he received his undergraduate degree in Animal Science and Industry in May 2000, then went on to graduate from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. He came to Drexel in 2006 as an associate, and then purchased the practice in April of 2007. Dr. Stohs currently resides in Louisburg, KS with his wife, three children and two French Bulldogs. Primary interest is small animal reproductive services, Dr. Stohs is a certified animal chiropractor.


Ed Lents, DVM

Dr. Ed grew up on a livestock producing farm near Bridgewater, IA. He attended Iowa State University where he graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1975. After graduating, he went to University of Illinois for an internship in Food Animal Medicine. He went on to private practice in northern Iowa and Wyoming before coming to Drexel in 2006. Ed and his wife Becky currently live outside of Drexel with an assortment of animals.

Tanner Miller, DVM

Dr. Tanner Miller was born outside of Houston, TX and lived in various states until attending Kansas State University where he received his undergraduate degree in Animal Science in December of 2008. Tanner then went on to receive a masters degree in Biomedical Science in conjunction with his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2014. He especially enjoys cattle herd health, small animal medicine and surgery cases. Tanner and his wife, Krystal, live outside of Louisburg, KS and have two children, Easton and Abigail.

Elli Unruh, DVM

Dr. Elli Unruh grew up in Rantoul, KS where she attended Central Heights High School and was an active participant in 4-H/FFA. She attended Kansas State University where she was involved with the rodeo team. Dr. Elli graduated from the KSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Dr. Elli and her husband live outside of Paola on their family farm. She enjoys spending time with her family, her dogs, and checking their cattle.

Brianne Simonsen, DVM

Dr. Brianne Simonsen is a 2012 Iowa State University graduate. She grew up in Northwest Iowa on her parents’ ranch. She practiced in Wyoming for 5 years before coming to work with us. Dr. Simonsen loves working with a variety of animals, but working with horses is her favorite. She enjoys equine dentistry, reproductive medicine, and is a certified animal chiropractor.

Reba Fitch, DVM

Dr. Reba grew up in the area. She started working at the Drexel Vet Clinic for Dr. Hatten during high school. She attended Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, Missouri for undergraduate studies. She then obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia, College of Veterinary Medicine class of 2013. She has special interests in surgery and  behavior.

Dr. Reba has worked at several different small animal veterinary clinics in Kansas and Tennessee. She is happy to be home again. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys being outside, gardening and reading.

Karen Whitham, DVM

Dr. Whitham was born and raised in Columbus, KS where her father was also a veterinarian. She attended Kansas State University and received a BS in Animal Science and Industry in 1990 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. After graduation she practiced in 6 different states as well as Germany while following her Air Force husband, Rusty, to his duty assignments. In 2011 Rusty retired from the military and they settled in Louisburg. They are proud parents to 2 children and have rescued four dogs and three cats.

Holly Harris, DVM

Dr. Holly Harris grew up in Ottawa, KS. She graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in 2013 and graduated vet school from Oklahoma State in 2017. Dr. Harris lives in Ottawa with her son and husband. They enjoy spending time working on the family farm, playing with their dogs and spending time with family. Dr. Harris enjoys working with both small and large animals and is a certified animal chiropractor.

Kenneth Hatten, DVM (Doc)

Dr. Hatten was raised on a diversified farm in New Hampton, MO. He  attended the University of Missouri where he graduated from veterinary school in 1963. He then began practice in Drexel with Dr. Davidson, and after practicing in LaCygne for a brief period, established the Drexel-LaCygne Veterinary Clinic in the spring of 1966. Dr. Hatten owned the clinic until 2007 when he sold the practice to Dr. Stohs.
